摘要: Enteral feeding is a key component of care in neonatal intensive units (NICUs); however, tubes harbor microbes. These microbes have the potential to cause disease, yet their source remains controversial and clinical recommendations reduce tube colonization are lacking. This study aims improve our understanding bacteria evaluate factors that may affect these bacteria. 16S rRNA gene sequencing was used characterize present pharyngeal, esophageal, gastric portions tubes, residual fluid infant stool using samples from 47 infants. Similar distributions taxa were observed all samples, although beta diversity differed by sample type. Feeding had lower alpha than increased with gestational age, day life, dwell time. In subset 6 infants analyzed whole metagenome sequencing, there greater overlap transferable antimicrobial resistance genes between fecal breast milk fed formula findings develop colonization, laying foundation for research into methods minimizing NICU patients' exposure resistant
