An optical measuring method to obtain the turn-on time of a MV output switch

摘要: The output switch is a key component which connects the pulse power generator and antenna in an intense electromagnetic simulator its turning on off can reflect working condition of simulator. In order to measure turn-on time switch, formative analyzed based avalanche streamer theory, optical technique provides method via fiber transmission for penetrating into high voltage cavities with advantages insulation interference adopted. A measuring system silicon PIN detector developed, experimental platform testing synchronous characteristics established. experiments are carried out using one-to-one scale model. results show that excellent resistance, start point measured signal clear recognize; average delay between points current 20.42ns, range jitter 0.78ns 0.4ns; designed be used monitor switch.
