Gas Perturbations in the Cool Cores of Galaxy Clusters: Effective Equation of State, Velocity Power Spectra, and Turbulent Heating

摘要: We present the statistical analysis of X-ray surface brightness and gas density fluctuations in cool cores 10 nearby, X-ray-bright galaxy clusters that have deep Chandra observations show observational indications radio-mechanical active galactic nucleus (AGN) feedback. Within central parts cores, total variance is dominated by isobaric and/or isothermal on spatial scales similar to 10-60 kpc, which are likely associated with slow motions bubbles relativistic plasma. Adiabatic fluctuations, weak shocks sonic turbulence, constitute less than 10% all clusters. The typical amplitude small, or 10-15 kpc. observed subdominant contribution adiabatic small support a model gentle AGN measured one-component velocities typically below 100-150 km s(-1) <50 kpc can be up 300 100 scales. nonthermal energy <12% thermal energy.
