摘要: An all-fiber refractive index sensor with a simple configuration is proposed and investigated. The fiber refractometer consists of full-loop structure bare high-bend loss singlemode fiber-1060XP, employing the well-known whispering gallery mode (WGM) effect induced by evanescent wave excitation to measure an external medium. A competitive sensitivity achieved (average 725.76nm/RIU at bend diameter 19.3mm) compared other fiber-optic sensors, plus benefits resulting from simplicity, low cost ease fabrication. media have RI values that lie in range 1.33~1.40, for example, deionized water (1.333@589.3nm) acetone (1.359@589.3nm).
