摘要: Abstract In vitro buffering capacity of 52 feeds was measured to determine the range within and among feed types. Feeds were analyzed for dry matter, total ash, minerals (Ca, Mg, K, Na, Cl, N, P, Si, S), pH, titratable acidity alkalinity, acid-buffering capacity, base-buffering (milliequivalents acid or base required bring .5g matter suspended in 50ml distilled deionized water pH 4 9, respectively, divided by change). Buffering lowest energy feeds, intermediate low protein (15 35% crude protein) grass forages, highest high (>35% legume forages. The concept diet formulation a predetermined tested. Two isonitrogenous isocaloric diets substantially different from each other formulated using ingredients pool feeds. these similar their predicted values. Acid correlated with cations ash. However, simple linear regression not sufficient predict accurately ash Further studies are needed provide better estimate feed-buffering capacity.
