摘要: The viscous micropump consists of a cylinder placed eccentrically inside microchannel, where the rotor axis is perpendicular to channel axis. When rotates, net force transferred fluid due unequal shear stresses on upper and lower surfaces rotor. Consequently, this causes surrounding in displace towards microchannel outlet. simplicity renders it ideal for micro pumping, however, previous studies have shown that its performance still less than what required various applications. micropump, terms flow rate, pressure head efficiency, may be enhanced by implementing more one into configuration. present study will numerically investigate configurations micropumps with multiple rotors, namely dual-horizontal rotor, triple-horizontal symmetrical-dual-vertical 8-shaped dual-vertical development drag time, as well resisting torque cylinders were studied. In addition, corresponding moment coefficients calculated. Results show configuration yields best generates highest rate. steady state single-stage was compared available experimental numerical data, found very good agreement.
