摘要: Semiconductor gas sensor devices employing metal oxides exhibit a high sensitivity in the ppm range and can be applied for detection of noxious or explosive gases vapours air. For an improvement sensing properties surface reactions on SnO2 have been studied our group. The experimental methods, thermal desorption spectroscopy reactive scattering, both used mass spectrometer under ultrahigh vacuum conditions. Complementary information is derived from photoemission spectoscopy. Simultaneous conductance measurements allow us to attribute electrical response certain reaction steps. Surface methane, ethanol, arsine, phenylarsine hydrogen sulphide are discussed. Ion exchange vary relative importance parallel paths dramatically altering some gases. Spillover electronic interactions deposits oxide illustrated with examples.
