摘要: Rapid species extinctions and the loss of other biodiversity features worldwide have prompted development a systematic planning framework for conservation biodiversity. Limited resources (~ 40 million USDannually) are available conservation, particularly in developing countries that contain many world’s hotspots diversity. Thus, problems often represented as mathematical programs which objective is to select sites serve areas so cost plan small possible adequate habitat protected each species. Here, we generalize this approach allow uncertainty process. In particular, assume be disperse after established planners cannot anticipate with certainty species’ future locations when selecting areas. This modeled by including random variables program. We illustrate designing network birds southern Quebec.
