摘要: The effects of using neat and blended (30% vol.) biodiesel, obtained from Rapeseed Methyl Ester (RME) Jatropha (JME), in a Euro 5 small displacement passenger car diesel engine have been evaluated this paper. impact biodiesel usage on performance at full load was analyzed for specifically adjusted ECU calibration: the same torque levels measured under Diesel operation could be obtained, with lower smoke levels, thus highlighting potential maintaining level while achieving substantial emissions benefits. In addition, blends brake specific fuel consumption engine-out exhaust (CO2, CO, HC, NOx smoke) were also 6 different part operating conditions, representative New European Driving Cycle. Emissions DPF outlet, providing information about aftertreatment devices efficiencies biodiesel. application calibration showed rise consumption, due to energy content conversion efficiency comparable CO2 emissions. An appreciable increase CO HC low noticed, along considerable emission reduction. Finally, soot-NOx trade-off three points, order gather detailed further possible benefits that achieved through more extensive recalibration.
