摘要: This chapter reports on a set of four developments, which have resulted in prototype computer software systems related to terrain analysis and interpretation based techniques from advanced image processing machine vision. The first is the computational description identification drainage patterns through structural pattern recognition. second uses variety expert system methods tools address knowledge representation construct for inferring both landform physiographic region site user observations indicators. third concerns “terrain visual vocabulary” Macintosh hypermedia consisting interlinked definitions, graphics, aerial images can be used simultaneously with assist novice interpreters. fourth development geomorphometric approach classification GTOP030 digital elevation model into three classes features identification, representation, mountain objects.
