摘要: Seed shape is an important agronomic trait with continuous variation among genotypes. Therefore, the quantitative evaluation of this highly important. Among geometric morphometrics methods, elliptic Fourier analysis and semi-landmark are often used for quantification biological variations. Elliptic approximation method to treat contours as a waveform. Semi-landmark superimposed points in which differences multiple contour positions minimized. However, no detailed comparison these methods has been undertaken. Moreover, descriptors vary when scale direction starting point trace change. Thus, should be compared respect standardization trace. In present study, we evaluated seed variations sorghum (Sorghum bicolor Moench) germplasm collection analyze association between genome-wide single-nucleotide polymorphisms by genomic prediction (GP) studies (GWAS). our analysis, all possible combinations three description eight procedures well trace; were terms GP accuracy GWAS results. We (elliptic coordinates superposed pseudo-landmark points) found that principal component their yielded similar Different scaling caused scores, average shape, results GWAS.
