摘要: The purpose of this paper is to develop a statistical description patterns motor-vehicle crash types among drivers different age and sex in order identify underlying differences behavior ability. Using techniques categorical data analysis comprehensive on crashes Hawaii during 1991 1992, we relate type (e.g., sideswiper, sideswiped, rearender, rearended, etc.) driver categories. We also examine interactions between sex, type, vehicle type. By fitting loglinear model, find that are associated with groups way suggests systematic In particular, young have much greater frequency rollovers being the rearender or headoner, whereas older higher broadsided. most notable effect rollover for pick-up trucks, more frequently driven by male drivers. conclude discussion implications our findings appropriate interventions future research.
