摘要: A comprehensive assessment and bias corrections of two gridded daily precipitation products, based on gauge-only multi-satellite observations, are undertaken in this study using independent rain gauge data around the Kabini River (KR) basin South India. The KR basin, with complex terrain, highly variable heterogeneous land use poses challenges development accurate products. from India Meteorological Department (IMD) product Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) Multi-satellite Precipitation Analysis (TMPA)-3B42 evaluated at monthly scales study. Both products available 0.25° spatial resolution assessed 57 observations for period 2009–2016. Multiple visual statistical metrics have been utilized to assess error characteristics capability these estimates replicating extremes. Results indicate that is generally better than product. notably overestimates light underestimates extreme over region. To mitigate overestimation dry days TMPA-3B42 estimates, a dry-day correction method developed applied nearby observations. Furthermore, quantile-based also both after confirming stationarity data, which substantially improved distributed hydrological modelling studies basin.
