The role of experiential avoidance, psychopathology, and borderline personality features in experiencing positive emotions: a path analysis.

摘要: Abstract Background and objectives Experiential avoidance (EA) is an important factor in maintaining different forms of psychopathology including borderline personality pathology (BPD). So far little known about the functions EA, BPD features general for positive emotions. In this study we investigated three anticipated pathways their influence on Methods A total 334 subjects varying &/or completed online survey self-ratings features, psychopathology, negative emotions, EA. Measures emotions included both a self-rating (PANAS) emotional changes induced by two movie clips. Data were analyzed means path analysis. Results comparing models, one model was found clearly superior: model, EA acts as mediator prediction measures Discussion plays central role lack Therapeutic implications limitations are discussed.
