摘要: The present study is designed to test the hypothesis that oxidative stress mediates hexavalent chromium (VI)-induced apoptosis in uterus. Female Wistar rats received an intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection of potassium dichromate at doses 1 and 2 mg/kg. Superoxide anion production was assessed by determination reduction cytochrome c iodonitrotetrazolium (INT), lipid peroxidation (LPO), metallothioneins (MTs), catalase (CAT) activity. expression Bax Bcl-2 proteins investigated. After 15 days treatment, increase LPO MT levels occurred, whereas CAT activity decreased. Intense observed endometriotic stromal cells Cr-exposed rats. protein induced with mg Cr(VI)/kg, epithelial higher dose. These results clearly suggest Cr(VI) subacute treatment causes rat uterus, leading apoptosis.
