摘要: Abstract The alkylation of benzene with ethanol over pure and modified (with phosphorous boron) HZSM5 zeolites is reported. results, when compared those obtained using ethylene as the alkylating agent, support hypothesis Anderson et al. [5] that ethyl group in ethylbenzene formed from without intermediate formation ethylene. Modification enhances selectivity towards benzenes. This attributed to elimination strong acid sites by added phosphorous. acidity spectra temperature-programmed desorption NH3 these catalysts above conclusions.
