摘要: Abstract The general problems being important for the determination of liquid crystal surface anchoring and orientation nematics, large-pitch cholesterics, some smectics by means attenuated total internal reflection (ATIR) a visible light beam have been outlined. advantages disadvantages ATIR measuring energy discussed compared with those other well-known methods. possible influence additional orienting and/or coducting layers on reflectivity polarization incident wave are also briefly discussed.
