摘要: Background: There is a need for clinically useful, quantitative index measurement of disease activity in cats with chronic enteropathy (CE). Objective: To develop numerical that practical value to clinicians treating CE cats. Animals: Eighty-two CE. Methods: Retrospective case review 59 diagnosed inflammatory bowel (IBD). Prospective validation study 23 having either IBD or food-responsive (FRE). Multivariate regression analysis was used identify which combination clinical and laboratory variables were best associated intestinal inflammation IBD. This expressed score as an the prospective assessment effect treatment FRE. Results: The gastrointestinal signs, endoscopic abnormalities, serum total protein, alanine transaminase/alkaline phosphatase activity, phosphorous concentration had correlation histopathologic comprise feline (FCEAI). Positive responses accompanied by significant (P < .05) reductions FCEAI scores after treatment. Conclusions Clinical Importance: simple measure CE. scoring can be reliably initial severity both FRE response these disorders.
