摘要: The relative effectiveness of narrowband and broadband noises in activating the efferent system was assessed by comparing effect contralateral stimulation (CS) with such sounds on psychophysical tuning curves (PTCs) determined simultaneous masking, using signal frequencies 1000 or 2000 Hz. To check that CS stimuli used did activate system, distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAEs) were also measured absence presence CS. had no consistent masker level at tips PTCs. A pink noise consistently reduced required for threshold both low- high-frequency sides PTCs 2000-Hz frequency. However, there effects any other case. a greater reducing DPOAE levels than results provide evidence supporting idea is activated more effectively CS, least frequency
