摘要: One of the hallmarks nature is compartmentalization, and natural cell membranes are often asymmetric in terms inner outer side. This communication describes work toward synthesizing such an membrane from bottom-up. A family amphiphilic di- triblock copolymers were synthesized via Cu(0)-mediated single electron transfer-living radical polymerization with aim to generate polymer vesicles, or polymersomes, membrane. Self-assembly these polymeric amphiphiles aqueous media was investigated using field-flow fractionation cryo-electron microscopy. Utilizing mixtures diblock differing hydrophilic moieties resulted formation vesicles segregation charge between leaflet, confirmed by zeta potential measurements.
