摘要: In this paper, a short-circuit transmission line method is proposed for passive intermodulation (PIM) evaluation of metallic materials. The introduced as current-based PIM that effective characterization materials and electrical contacts. impedance matching condition not required device under test. Therefore, its shape can be advantageously chosen arbitrarily. realizes quantitative materials, demonstrates characterizing the in terms applied current density to provide fair assessment material choice. Using method, copper foils with arbitrary width thickness were evaluated without any effects on characteristic impedance. applicable actual microwave components such SMA connectors. paper presents level obtained using 18 dB higher than conventional impedance-matched method. As result, clear interpretation from matched also presented.
