摘要: Abstract The subcutaneous implantation of Teflon tubes as carriers for endodontic materials was evaluated its suitability a method the testing biocompatibility these materials. Three representative types root canal sealers were used. Tubes filled with placed in tissue 143 rats. observation periods 14, 30, 90, and 180 days. occurrence acute chronic inflammatory' cells, presence material macro phages, foreign body giant vessels, demonstrated that all irritating resorbable. severity response varied widely within each group. It concluded practical qualitative evaluation materials, but ranking biocompat- ibility would be possible only considerably different toxicity.
