摘要: Distributed software development allows firms to leverage cost advantages and place work near centers of competency. This distribution comes at a -- distributed teams face challenges from differing cultures, skill levels, lack shared working hours. In this paper we examine whether how geographic temporal separation in large scale influences developer interactions. We mine the item trackers for commercial project with globally team. both time respond propensity individuals find that when taken together, distance has little effect, while significant negative impact on respond. However, have social network organization. These results suggest temporally do communicate, it is slower rate, may wish locate partner similar zones maximal performance.
