摘要: Abstract Drosophila species fall into three classes with respect to the effect of light on their reproductive behavior: Class I, that mate equally well in or darkness; II, those merely inhibited by III, whose mating is blocked darkness. Species also differ extent geographic distribution, I including widely distributed and cosmopolitan III are endemic. II have an intermediate distribution pattern. The behavioral differences among reflects degree which courtship information locked-in unique visual stimuli, as indicating underlying genetic architecture flexible versus specialized forms. It may be anticipated most Drosophila will found dependent. Similar organizational other forms relying stimuli reflected correlation between reliance a single sensory input. Dependence input offers variety methods for biological control requires particular system transfer.
