摘要: Hypercortisolemia is associated with increased risk of hypertension. Natural and synthetic glucocorticoids (GCs) have different effects on blood pressure (BP). The effect GCs BP depends the dose, treatment duration, type GCs, route administration. Intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) pulse therapy first line for severe Graves' orbitopathy (GO). aim this study was to evaluate influence IVMP pulses N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) dynamics. A total 32 patients GO were treated one every week 12 weeks. We performed 48-h monitoring (24-h before 24-h after IVMP) measured NT-proBNP before, 24 h, 48 h 1st, 6th, 12th pulse. Mean did not change any pulses. observe an increase in maximal systolic or mean nocturnal BP, except last Additionally, dipping phenomenon less frequent found a significant median levels all analyzed Our suggests that may unfavorable cumulative BP. Variation concentration indicates compensatory brain secretion.
