摘要: A recently developed algorithm for quantitatively measuring the topology of large-scale structures in universe was applied to a number important observational data sets. The sets included an Abell (1958) cluster sample out Vmax = 22,600 km/sec, Giovanelli and Haynes (1985) 11,800 CfA 5000 Thuan Schneider (1988) dwarf 3000 Tully (1987) km/sec. It found that, when is studied on smoothing scales significantly larger than correlation length (i.e., length, lambda, not below 1200 km/sec), spongelike consistent with standard model which structure seen today has grown from small fluctuations caused by random noise early universe. When scale lambda about 600 shift observed genus curve direction meatball topology. 66 refs.
