摘要: The amount of cotton pulled and the type nest built were determined for 14 consecutive days 10 males females each seven species: Peromyscus maniculatus, P. eremicus, leucopus, Microtus canicaudus, M. montanus, pennsylvanicus, ochrogaster. There appreciable species differences both dependent variables, with generally pulling more building elaborate nests than Microtus. few sex or changes over testing. Nest in laboratory is considered relation to such factors as body weight, general activity, food hoarding, basal metabolic rates, nesting behavior field.
