摘要: The purpose of this study was to improve the prediction quantity and type Volatile Fatty Acids (VFA) produced from fermented substrate in rumen lactating cows. A model formulated that describes conversion (soluble carbohydrates, starch, hemi-cellulose, cellulose, protein) into VFA (acetate, propionate, butyrate, other VFA). Inputs were observed rates true digestion substrates, whereas outputs molar proportions fluid. literature survey generated data 182 diets (96 roughage 86 concentrate diets). Coefficient values define a specific estimated meta-analytically by regression against using non-linear techniques. estimates significantly differed for acetate propionate production particular, between different types diets. Deviations fitted could be attributed random error 100%. In addition data, simulation studies performed investigate potential estimation method. Fitted coefficient simulated sets appeared accurate, as well production, although accounted only small fraction (maximally 45%) variation proportions. results showed latter result merely consequence statistical analysis chosen should not interpreted an indication inaccuracy estimates. corresponded those obtained simulations.
