Evaluation of Network Performance under Provision of Short Predictive Traffic Information

摘要: Traffic information systems have been considered to play an important role in reducing traffic congestion. Understanding the effects of provision network performance is crucial before real implementation systems. In this paper, we investigated effect predictive with short prediction horizon. A simulation model was developed evaluate efficiency information. The simulations were conducted on a test grid network. performances term average trip travel times compared other types. addition, sensitivity analyses level market penetration and update intervals are also presented. results obtained indicate that can improve overall even though horizon short.
