摘要: Striped bass (Morone saxatilis) are a popular sport fish among recreational anglers along the Atlantic coastline. Although there is good understanding of their seasonal migration patterns, less known about short-term movements striped once they have reached New England coastal embayments frequented during summer months. It important to understand movement patterns and behavioral ecology make most educated management decisions. Fine-scale activity were assessed by tagging 35 (38.5-80.5 cm TL) with acoustic transmitters equipped pressure tri-axial accelerometer sensors tracking them within fixed array (n=34 receivers) in Plymouth, Kingston, Duxbury (PKD) Bay, MA. Activity space was significant over course season increased water temperature. frequently exhibited low levels locomotory representing 67% total measurements (slow swimming or hovering place) , occasional high burst swimming, often upper 3 m column. Depth distribution ranged from 0 -14.95 remained at shallower depths when temperatures 21 C. Diel vertical observed day greatest tide.
