摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter is an up-to-date review of high-speed transmission using electronic time division multiplexing (ETDM), a time-honored approach for upgrading system capacity. The emphasis on 100-Gb/s bit rate and beyond, as 40-Gb/s systems are already being deployed Ethernet (100 GE) expected to be the next dominant transport technology. throughput in optical networks increasing inexorably, backhauling traffic generated by triple-play video-on-demand services main drivers.
