摘要: The capsular type-specific antigen of Haemophilus influenzae, type b, has been reported to have a unit structure composed D-ribose and phosphate. Recently, the presence ribitol was found in preparations b antigen. Our analytical results show equimolar proportions ribose, ribitol, Periodate oxidation studies, paper chromatography acidic alkaline hydrolysates, NMR spectral data indicate capular H. influenzae strain Eagan be polyribosylribitol phosphate polymer.
