摘要: Abstract Human fecal pollution of recreational waters remains a public health concern worldwide. As result, there is growing interest in the application human-associated source identification quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) technologies for water quality research and management. However, are currently no standardized approaches field implementation interpretation qPCR data. In this study, HF183/BacR287 method was combined with sampling strategy novel Bayesian weighted average approach to establish human contamination score (HFS) that can be used prioritize sites remediation based on measured waste levels. The HFS then investigate 975 study design scenarios utilizing different combinations varying intensities (daily once per week) number replicates sample (2–14 replicates). Findings demonstrate site prioritization feasible both intensity influence reliability estimates. data analysis presented here provides prescribed goal addition, information provided future users customize designs optimal performance.
