摘要: This chapter discusses the manufacture and fitting of custom-made (poly)methyl methacrylate (PMMA) prosthetic eyes. It describes at least two different techniques for each stage eye construction approaches subject from a broad perspective that is respectful many methods ocular prosthetists have developed to suit their own personal styles. The goal not advocate one method over another but enable discussion about how best achieve excellence in manufacture. glass eyes which were common before advent PMMA 1940s (see Chap. 11) described even though or European still make fit claiming greater wearing comfort due superior wetting properties.
