摘要: This contribution is divided into three parts. First, some recent VLBI results on an extremely compact hotspot in 3C205 will be briefly discussed. Next, preliminary of a new study double hotspots presented and placed the context previous work by myself collaborators. Finally, subject side-to-side asymmetries radio sources mentioned, with particular regard for apparently strong tendency to lie same side as jet (if both are present). All this stems from collaborative efforts others, principally Peter Barthel Caltech Tom Muxlow 3odrell Bank. In November 1986, we observed southern lobe global network at 18cm wavelength. The fringe spacing longest baselines was around 4 milliarcseconds. We used MkIII recording system, experiment represented first sensitive search very emission more than few tens milliarcseconds away core extragalactic source. 8 arcseconds distant core, which corresponds 40 kiloparsecs (projected) Ho = 75km S 1 Mpc -1 qo 0.05.
