摘要: G-proteins involved in signal transduction are members of a guanine nucleotide-binding protein superfamily that includes cytoskeletal proteins such as tubulin, soluble (initiation and elongation factors synthesis), low molecular weight GTP-binding the ras p21 protooncogenes ras-related (Spiegel, 1987; Gilman, Iyengar & Birnbaumer, 1987). Members G-protein subset share certain general features common with other superfamily: 1) all bind nucleotides high affinity specificity, possess intrinsic GTPase activity modulates interactions between elements; 2) serve substrates for ADP-ribosylation by bacterial toxins; this covalent modification disrupts normal function.
