摘要: The experimental study of phonon dispersion curves is motivated by the quest for a detailed understanding forces between atoms condensed matter in bulk and at surface. Bulk phonons have been studied neutron scattering since about 1955, when Brockhouse Stewart [5.1] reported on first measurements aluminum. surface particle rather recent development. Neutrons are not well suited studies because their very small cross sections but nevertheless used to adsorbates layered compounds (graphite) [5.2] or vibrations powder particles with large ratio volume areas [5.3].
