摘要: Apigenin, a widely distributed plant flavonoid, was previously found to inhibit chemically induced ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) activity and skin tumor promotion. The purpose of the present research determine if apigenin is effective in prevention ultraviolet-B light (UVB) carcinogenesis. Further studies ascertained would be expected absorb UVB manner prevent DNA damage cell free system. ODC with 0.45 J/cm2 ultraviolet A B (UVA/B) light. Apigenin (5 mumoles/200 microliters DMSO:acetone, 1:9) treatment from 12 hours before until 1 hour following UVA/B exposure inhibition (25-45% inhibition) measured at 28 exposure. Mouse carcinogenesis by total dose 40 over 11 weeks. Treatment 10 mumoles 200 DMSO:acetone (1:9) prior each resulted reduction cancer incidence (52% an increase survival comparison control mice (P < 0.01). (0-100 microM) did not vitro production photoproducts salmon sperm suggesting that or simply absorbing decreasing damage.
