摘要: A tracking error (TE) signal is formed from a single spot on photodetector 25 to improve the robustness in optical disc applications having reduced track-pitch. Reduced track pitches are employed high data capacity formats. By using frequency cross-correlation of central aperture signal, differences within left 21 and right 23 detector halves yield divergence zero crossing that produces more pronounced signal. The insensitive incoherent cross talk multi-layer discs.
