摘要: The objective of the study was to investigate whether high and low intensity versions cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) might be an effective therapeutic approach for enhancing mental health Aboriginal Australians. Five university-educated counsellors received in-depth training in CBT. Over following year, they used CBT strategies with their clients, met 10 times as a participatory action research group. group addressed three key questions: (a) Does appear useful Australians? (b) If so, what elements are perceived effective? (c) What adaptations made enhance its effectiveness resulting qualitative data were transcribed analysed. Counsellors very clients themselves. They reported that it enhanced clients' well-being, own clinical skills, reduced burnout. qualities adaptability, pragmatic here-and-now approach, capacity low-intensity interventions, safe containing structure, promotion self-agency, valuable techniques. It suggested prime requirement would need fit different social cultural contexts.
