摘要: Abstract In this work, three extensions to the traditional discontinuous deformation analysis (DDA) method are tested simulate entire process describing behavior of landslides induced by reservoir impoundment. These include discretization area interest, block gluing and HM (hydro-mechanical) coupling approach. Several hydraulic boundary conditions introduced based on water level during dry rainfall seasons. As verification, processes for two practical landslides, Qianjiangping Majiagou which occurred in Three Gorges Reservoir (TGR) China, simulated. The simulation results agree well with observed failure modes, indicating that proposed methodology can intuitively reproduce impoundment landslide process.
