摘要: Study objectives To explore the time of day effects alcohol on sleep, we examined sleep following administered at four times and three homeostatic loads during a 20-hr forced desynchrony (FD) protocol. Participants Twenty-six healthy young adults (21-25 yrs) were studied. Design dosed 4 clock times: 0400 (n = 6; 2 females), 1600 7; 1000 1 female) or 2200 females). slept 2300 to 0800 for least 12 nights before in-lab FD study. Double blind placebo (vodka tonic targeting 0.05g% concentration) beverages each different loads: low (4.25 2.24 hrs awake), medium (8.25 6.25 high (12.25 10.25 awake) in groups, respectively. Sleep was staged subjected spectral analysis. Measurements results Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC) confirmed targeted maximal levels. At bedtime, BrAC 0 load conditions; however, load, still measurable. Spectral characteristics unaffected with any day. Few related changes seen stages; given there an increase wake. Conclusions These data lend support idea that may be disruptive sleep; our findings are inconsistent dose is useful aid when attempting adverse circadian phase.
