摘要: Individuals living with a pathological-gambling partner can experience significant psychological distress. In this report, we conduct preliminary evaluation of coping skills training program (CST) for population. Twenty-three individuals experiencing stress from who was not in treatment were randomly assigned to either CST or delayed control (DTC) condition. consisted ten, weekly individual sessions teach more effective skills. At the end treatment/delay period, participants, relative those DTC, showed large improvement skillfulness that appeared mediate corresponding reduction depression and anxiety DTC. Partner gambling during period decreased both conditions but did differ between them, nor help-seeking differ. shows promise as an distressed result partner’s problem. Larger, longer-term evaluations intervention, comparison alternate models are needed.
