摘要: Recent work involving intracranial recording during human memory performance provides superb spatiotemporal resolution on mnemonic processes. These data demonstrate that the cortical regions identified in neuroimaging studies of fall into temporally distinct networks and hippocampal theta activity reported animal literature also plays a central role memory. Memory is linked to at multiple interacting frequencies, ranging from 1 500 Hz. High-frequency responses coupling between different frequencies suggest frontal cortex critical processes, as well potential key for thalamus neocortical oscillations. Future research will inform unresolved questions neuroscience guide creation stimulation protocols facilitate function damaged brain.
