摘要: Alterations in hydrological and thermal regimes can potentially affect salmonid early life stages development survival. The dewatering of salmon spawning redds due to hydropeaking lead mortality stages, with higher impact on the alevins as they have lower tolerance than eggs. Flow-related mitigation measures reduce stage mortality. We present a set modelling tools assess impacts options minimise risk rivers. successfully modelled long-term alterations consequences for rates. estimated assessed cost-effectiveness implementing three release-related (A,B,C). economic cost was low ranged between 0.7% 2.6% annual hydropower production. Options reducing flow during (B C) addition only release minimum flows (A) were considered more effective egg alevin B C however constraint by water availability system certain years, therefore option A always feasible. used this study satisfactory their applications be useful especially systems where little field data is available. Targeted built well-informed tested effectiveness mitigate effects vs. capacity or conserve power Environmental releases targeting specific ecological objectives provide better cost-effective conventional operational rules complying general legislation.
