摘要: Abstract Early- and intermediate-term results of the arterial switch operation for D-transposition great arteries (D-TGA) are encouraging. However, questions remain about long-term outcome these patients, especially with regard to exercise performance. Preliminary studies have demonstrated normal endurance time on treadmills. data regarding aerobic capacity cardiopulmonary function lacking. We report performance 22 school-age patients D-TGA who underwent operation. Outcome variables included maximal oxygen consumption (VO 2 ), cardiac index, peak heart rate. Patient procedure-related were assessed their association using linear logistic regression. The mean values VO (113 ± 19% predicted) index (96 18% within limits pediatric population. Although rate entire group (184 14 beats/min) was limits, there 7 subjects (32%) chronotropic impairment. Significant ST-segment depression seen in (9%). In regression analysis, surgery subsequent associated lower (p = 0.01). Other not significantly , particular, impairment or index. These findings demonstrate that during is excellent after finding some supports role formal testing those participating vigorous athletic activities.
