摘要: Adrenarche refers to the rise in adrenal 19- carbon steroid production, primarily dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and DHEA sulfate (DHEAS). Adrenarche, which occurs only humans a few higher primates, is independent of puberty manifests clinically as appearance axillary pubic hair, usually about age 8. The physiologic correlate adrenarche development zona reticularis, has many biochemical properties fetal adrenal. Recent studies have shown that not an abrupt 'signaled' process occurring mid childhood but rather continuous since birth. In addition, some differences gene expression between reticularis gland begun emerge. purpose human physiology remains enigmatic, although disease states associated with abnormalities DHEA(S) production provide clues.
