摘要: The concept of an all-gas-phase photoelectrochemical (PEC) cell producing hydrogen gas from volatile organic contaminated and light is presented. Without applying any external bias, contaminants are degraded produced in separate electrode compartments. system works most efficiently with pollutants inert carrier gas. In the presence oxygen, performs less but still significant photocurrents generated, showing can be run on air. purpose this study to demonstrate new application opportunities PEC technology encourage further advancement toward remediation air pollution attractive feature simultaneous energy recovery abatement.
