摘要: ABSTRACT Selenium is a trace element of concern in the McLeod River basin downstream from two recently-closed coal mines west-central Alberta, Canada. Aquatic birds breed on streams area and may be exposed to excessive amounts selenium through their diets. In this article, we present results dietary-based assessment risk that pose aquatic bird species, American Dipper (Cinclus mexicanus) Harlequin Duck (Histrionicus histrionicus), one mine–affected streams, Gregg River. The study consisted (1) literature-based toxicity assessment, (2) simulation exposure diets eggs (3) coupled information exposure.
