摘要: Fish lengths have been measured in many different ways. The differences arise from choosing reference points near the anterior end and posterior of fish, using methods making measurement. Methods measurement include calipers; a tape held along curve body; laying fish on measuring board with front pressed against an upright piece; movable cross hair above it, attached to indicator running scale. In theory, any combination might be used, but practice is considerably more restricted. Some commoner combinations special names; these are provided chapter, together used. addition methodological differences, length varies condition fish—for example, whether it alive, recently killed, after rigor mortis has set in, or at intervals time preservation formalin alcohol.
